Hacking Mail.app with the Gmail star
I know, I know, it’s a nit, but I never did like that red flag in Mail.app.  So, I grabbed a screenshot of the happy yellow star in Gmail, brought it into Photoshop to resize it to 16x16 from 14x14, removed the white background to make it transparent, and saved as a transparent TIFF (flagged.tiff).  Then, shut down Mail, right-clicked on Mail.app, chose “Show Package Contents”, and drilled into Contents and then Resources.  Drag-dropped the old flagged.tiff out for safe keeping, and dragged the new one in.  OSX prompted me to authenticate, did that, restarted Mail, et voila there it is.
